My name is Marie Nean. Proud to be Gamilaraay/Kamilaroi Woman. Born and raised in Moree, NSW, Australia. I started doing art from a young age, after always observing and learning from my elders as my grandmother was a great artist. I used to watch her all the time and learned so much. I always felt empowered with indigenous art. Whenever I do art I feel so grounded and connected as the artwork I do represents my Indigenous Heritage and that in itself is Powerful.
